Where creative energy meets the creative possibility of an empty shopfront
FRONT is a youth project staging a creative takeover of an empty shopfront in the heart of Perth’s CBD. Over three weekends during June, groups of 12 to 26 year olds will collaborate with sculptors, poets, muralists and multidisciplinary artists on installations and activations aimed at helping foster a sense of wellbeing and connection to the urban environment.

The Lester Prize is calling all aspiring and emerging artists aged 12–26 to join us for a live portraiture event in the heart of the city. You are invited to come along and draw or paint our celebrity subject. Everyone is welcome – no matter your skill level! Grace Newton-Wordsworth from alternative pop band Joan and the Giants will sit as our celebrity subject and play a few songs during the 2–hour session.
