Mel Anastas is a community-builder and content creator whose career has entanglements with fine art, contemporary theatre, video production, punk and alt music and media communications.

Creating narratives to rally community is at the core of Mel’s promotional strategy, one which has curated relevant audiences for brands, artists, musicians and public events like the York Arts Festival, Vic Park Summer Street Party and Baysie Streets and Arts Festival.

Connecting with authenticity underpins her marketing philosophies, Mel coaches artists to celebrate their uniqueness, embracing #craptastic content and freeing them from promo-prison to show the world exactly who they are.

Pivot: Arts admin for sustainable careers is a new program presented by Propel Youth Arts WA that aims to build capacity among young and emerging artists and arts workers in Western Australia to make their careers sustainable and commercially viable.
