Grant Writing 101 with Emma Davis

Everyone has the capacity to learn, and like all skills Grant Writing is a skill that can be taught.  

Presented by Emma Davis, this hands-on workshop will let participants learn the basics of effective grant writing and develop their skills to successfully apply for funding, manage funding, and acquit funding - with confidence!

Using real-world examples and simple effective techniques for writing grant applications, this workshop aims to clarify the grant writing process in a fun and informative way. Participants will also receive access to simple grant writing templates for budgets, letters of support, and artist confirmation contracts.

About Emma Davis

Emma Davis is a highly-skilled arts consultant specialising in regional and community arts. She currently holds a Masters in Arts and Cultural Management and has extensive experience in grants and grants writing.  

Emma has successfully run grant writing workshops on behalf of the City of Albany, Denmark Arts, and the Great Southern Community Development Committee. She has also assisted artists and community art groups in the Great Southern to write, manage and acquit grant applications to obtain over $400,000 in grant funding for the 2019/2020 financial year.

Since September 2020 Emma has been successful in assisting regional artists, arts groups, and community groups access over $220,000 in funding.

About Pivot

Pivot: Arts admin for sustainable careers is a new program presented by Propel Youth Arts WA that aims to build capacity among young and emerging artists and arts workers in Western Australia to make their careers sustainable and commercially viable.
