Perth Festival Arts Writing Group
The Arts Writing Group will encompass a series of structured workshops on writing about art during the 2021 Perth Festival. The group will make visits to and participate in events and exhibitions included in the Perth Festival Visual Arts Program, with the view of developing responses to these Festival offerings. Work produced through the Arts Writing Group will be published during and following the festival period via Semaphore an online publication about art from Western Australia.

Perth Festival Good Film Club
Perth Festival are inviting young people between the ages of 16 -26 who have a love of film to join their Good Film Club. Members will experience the full 2021 Lotterywest Festival Films program at UWA Somerville by attending each film’s opening night as a group, discuss their experiences with moderator Brooke Silcox (see bio below) and act as ambassadors for the program.

Imagine hearing a fanfare you wrote being broadcast at venues around Perth during the 2020 Festival! We are currently inviting applications from students aged 15 – 25 to write a short fanfare inspired by the theme of Fire. Instead of the traditional bells that let the audience know it’s time to take their seats, your Fanfare will ring out to start Festival performances.

Perth Festival: GOOD FILM CLUB
Good Film Club invites young film lovers between the ages of 16 – 26 to be ambassadors of the 2020 Lotterywest Festival Films. Members will experience the full film program, by attending all films on opening night as a group, free of cost, and meet casually over four sessions with our Program Associate: Film, Tom Vincent to discuss the program, marketing & experience.
