Co-curated with Djed Press and edited by Rafeif Ismail and Ellen van Neerven, Unlimited Futures: Speculative, Visionary Blak+Black Fiction is an anthology for young adults which provides the chance for established, new and emerging First Nations writers and Afro-Black writers to share their stories about visionary pasts, present and possible futures. Around 20 Australian own-voice contributors will be selected for the anthology, which will be published by Fremantle Press in 2021.

Guidelines
Submissions will broadly fit into the category of visionary fiction for young adults, which encompasses science, fantasy and speculative fiction.
Submissions will only be accepted from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and individuals of the Black and/or Indigenous African (e.g. Amazigh, Tuareg, Copt) diasporas. This anthology is open to those who live in so-called Australia or hold Australian citizenship living overseas.
Submissions from new, emerging, mid-career and established writers are all welcome.
You may submit one piece of fiction of up to 3,000 words, or up to three poems with a combined word count of up to 3,000 words.
One submission per person.
The submitted work must be previously unpublished.
