About the Grants Program

Youth Week WA will be held 9-16 April 2021 and celebrates the positive contributions of young people within our community.  It provides youth, aged 10-25 years, and their communities with an opportunity to organise events that:

  • raise issues, ideas and concerns of young people and explore possible solutions;

  • profile the role of young people in the community;

  • showcase the talents and creativity of young people; and

  • encourage young people to engage with other community sectors including seniors, carers, volunteers, etc.

The Department of Communities coordinates Youth Week WA and is responsible for:

  • providing information to support the involvement and inclusion of young people and partnerships with other youth agencies;

  • administering the Youth Week WA Grants Program; and

  • providing advice and promotional opportunities to event organisers.
