Edmund Rice Centre are looking for teaching artists!
Edmund Rice Centre is an amazing organisation that works to support individuals from refugee and migrant backgrounds, as well as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
They have put together a brand new ongoing arts program for the young people they work with to engage in the arts and develop skills, and are excited to partner with young artists from various artistic backgrounds. They are looking for facilitators to teach workshops and connect these young people to the local arts community. Workshops will be held after school hours for a duration of 1.5 hours in one of the 4 venues in Lynwood, Ellenbrook, Banksia Grove and Butler.
This is a paid opportunity and can be a one-off workshop or part of an ongoing series. If you have an exciting idea, they would love to hear your workshop proposal. However, if you don’t have a workshop idea at the moment but are still keen to be involved, let them know!
This is a wonderful way for you to connect with individuals of migrant and refugee backgrounds and to support them to creatively express their stories and experiences. We couldn’t recommend this opportunity enough!
