Are you a young and emerging artist in WA looking for an opportunity to bring your creative vision to life? We are thrilled to announce the call for applications for Propel Launchpad!

What is Propel Launchpad?

Propel Launchpad is a new initiative designed to empower young and emerging artists. If you are an artist aged 12-26 with a project you want to take to the next level, the Propel Launchpad program can give you the boost you're looking for with project funding, mentorship support, and paid presentation opportunities.

This isn’t just financial aid; it’s your gateway to a vibrant future in the arts. Propel Launchpad offers you not only the funds but also invaluable experience, exposure, and the opportunity to self-start your own creative projects and create lasting connections within the arts community.

Successful applicants will receive:

  • $5,000 towards creative development costs (e.g. artist fees, space hire, research, etc.) across 6 months, from October 2024 to March 2025.

  • Allocation of up to $2,500 towards securing a suitable industry mentor to provide fresh perspectives and ideas on your work.

  • An additional $1,500 towards the presentation and promotion of your project during KickstART in April 2025.

Who can apply?

  • Open to individuals aged 12-26 and groups led by young people 12-26.

  • All artforms welcome, including visual arts, dance, music, film, and more.

  • Applicants must be based in WA, and we welcome regional applicants.

What do I need to prepare?

1) Read the Launchpad FAQ and application questions PDF resources.

2) Contact Propel at hello@propel.org.au to discuss your project.

3) RSVP for the Launchpad Info Session, 5.30pm on Tuesday 27 August.

4) Fill in the application form before midnight, Sunday 22 September.

How Do I Apply?

If you're an artist or part of an arts group aged 26 or under, and you have a project that needs support, we want to hear from you! We're looking for projects that are ready to take the next step, whether it's a performance, exhibition, workshop, or something new. Remember to prepare in advance and send your application prior to the deadline of midnight Sunday 22 September, as we will not be accepting late applications.
