The Blue Room Theatre Annual Season is back and supports the creation and presentation of new work and runs from April to December 2023. Annual Season shows are diverse in form, content, genre, artists and practice. Season artists are offered unparalleled support from conception to presentation in our two black box theatre spaces. In 2023, we also see the return of our partnership with AWESOME Festival to present a season for children and family audiences in our Studio.
Who is TBRT looking for!
Performance makers keen to develop and present new work that has not been presented in WA. We accept applications from independent productions by project-based producers, companies and artists (rather than annually funded or commercial organisations). We encourage emerging and/or established artists with a range of backgrounds and experiences to apply. An independent panel will curate the program by looking for artists that challenge themselves and their form, push boundaries, grow their skills, diversify participation in the arts, and open up conversations with fresh perspectives and experiences.
