In this workshop, KAN Collective invites you to explore ideas of tactile and immersive awareness through a series of games and exercises before working with participants to devise and perform new material. For anyone who is interested in participatory theatre, one-on-one performance or trans-disciplinary collaboration, this workshop is tailored by KAN Collective to be constructive and applicable to all creative practices.

When: Monday 9 July, 1.30pm - 3.30pm
Cost: $10 (in advance on Eventbrite or cash at the door)
Ages: 15-25

About this artist: KAN Collective is a group of emerging interdisciplinary artists who work to create spaces where play and transgression are encouraged. Following from their debut work House of Joys premiered in FRINGEWORLD 2018 in Paper Mountain’s Peaks program, KAN continues to encourage an approach to art-making that rejects tradition formats, power structures and artist roles, striving to create inclusive work that empowers audiences to respond to art as they experience it.

This workshop is organised with Propel Youth Arts WA for Winter Peaks, Paper Mountain's inaugural winter program. It is supported by the Department of Local Government, Sports and Culture Industries.
