A Survival Guide for Emerging Artists.
Spark Youth Theatre, Inner West Council & Rachel Roberts, supported by the Australian Council for the Arts, is hosting a 6 month professional development program aimed at giving young artists a leg up in the industry!
Survival Guide will give you all the tips and tricks we have on how to stay connected, stay relevant and stay sane amidst COVID and beyond. Our workshops focus on building your practise, creating great mental health strategies, guest speakers, mentorship, as well as breaking down the business of being an artist.
Come together with your artist peers to share your current and future projects, bounce ideas around, share your stuck points and dilemmas, and dive into topics from managing money as an artist to finding the perfect adjective for a scene.
Fun, free and fierce, our participants will walk away with slew of information, artist contacts and opportunities at their fingertips.
Applications Close November 1st.
We are particularly keen to hear from artists who identify as LGBTQIA+, Disabled and/or Deaf, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander or POC.
