The Award is not a competition but is a scholarship, awarded to a worthy recipient who can demonstrate how they will use the funds to elevate their artistic profile, or achieve an outcome that would be out of reach without the funds.

The Award is up to $10,000 and is available to young people under the age of 35 who are talented in any branch of the arts – performing arts, visual arts, and conceptual arts. However, the Award is limited to artists who have a strong association to the Shire of Mundaring, either through birth in the the area, work, residency, or some other close link. Applicants will need to demonstrate proof of this association.
