The Lester Prize offers volunteers a unique experience to work on a major national visual arts event that involves many artists from around Australia.
Essential Prerequisites / Attributes:
• Available to work between 31 October - 29 November 2020
• Have excellent communication skills - are a good listener and learner, and am able to communicate well with people from all walks of life
• Have ability to think on your feet and happy to work in crowds
• Reliable
• Have a keen interest in art
Desirable Prerequisites
• Previous experience in events or similar fields of work
• Study in arts discipline or related fields

Volunteer Eligibility & Role.
Volunteers must be 18+ years.
We have a limited number of positions available to assist with Prize administration in TLP's Nedlands Office for period September—October 2020.
We have various positions available at our exhibition venues and events for the Exhibition Season period October—November 2020.
Attend a short interview either by phone or in person as requested by the Volunteers Coordinator.
Shortlisted volunteers will be required to attend a Volunteer Orientation/Briefing and Induction session on 13 October or 15 October (more information on session times will be sent out closer to the date).
Comply with the Code of Conduct, Drug and Alcohol Policy and Emergency Training of The Lester Prize.
Available for shifts which will run for 4 hours each.
Each volunteer will fulfill a minimum of 2 shifts during the whole volunteering period.
Volunteers will support the events and activation program, meet and greet visitors to the exhibition, provide directions and provide event information.
Report any touching of artworks or potential damage to the closest security guard or TLP Volunteer Team Leader.
Wear your identification pouch/lanyard so it is visible at all times.
Communicate any issues directly to TLP management/staff.
Additional tasks as required.
