State of Play 2024 season applications have opened. This program provides artists a fantastic opportunity to be supported and nurtured through their 2024 Fringe World journey. There are many opportunities to develop emerging artists and creatives and a strong placement to support established presenters in reaching new audiences.

STATE OF PLAY re-enters the arena in 2024, and we’re preparing for another smashing season! Running from 19 January to 4 February 2024, the State Theatre Centre will transform into the award-winning FRINGE WORLD Festival hub STATE OF PLAY! We’re chasing adventurous, unique and/or site-specific works that activate our spaces in new and unexpected ways.

STATE OF PLAY is looking to program works appealing to all audiences and across all genres, so whether you are passionate about theatre, music, dance or making work for children, we're interested to hear from you!
