We are seeking expressions of interest from Western Australian artists/artist teams for an exciting public artwork as part of the METRONET Byford Rail Extension Project.
The Byford Rail Extension is an eight kilometre extension of the Armadale line, with new stations at Byford and Armadale including reconfiguration of surrounding crossings.
This artwork opportunity is a community collaboration project, with the outcome being the integration of meaningful artwork into the new pedestrian bridge at Larsen Road, Byford.
An important component of the project is active engagement with the local community and will entail facilitation of workshops with students from Marri Grove Primary School.
The Larsen Road Artwork aims to embed community values and stories into the public realm.
