Are you a creative young graduate and interested in an opportunity to create effective marketing and communications campaigns for the peak youth arts organisation in WA?

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about youth arts, has working knowledge of arts marketing and is comfortable with using Adobe Suite including Photoshop and InDesign.

 The Communications Officer is a part time position (F.T 0.4) and is responsible for building and engaging with Propel’s key audience across both print and digital platforms to ensure awareness of and access to Propel resources and services.  

They will deliver effective communication and marketing strategies for Propel’s core projects and events, maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders as well as continue to build the brand and positive reputation of the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate marketing enthusiast to work in a creative environment and play a key role in connecting and engaging audiences with Western Australia’s leading youth arts organisation.

Essential:

  • Working knowledge of arts marketing, including the capacity to create effective marketing and communications campaigns.

  • Exceptional written communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively for specific audience groups.

  • Demonstrated experience in effective social media management.

  • Excellent written communication skills and experience in copywriting and managing the production of print collateral.

  • High level attention to detail with ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

  • High level experience in creative editing with Adobe Suite including Photoshop and InDesign.

  • Have an interest in the creative arts industry.

Desirable Skills:

  • Basic to intermediate photography experience.

  • Basic to intermediate videography filming and editing experience.

  • Experience with the following online platforms; Mailchimp, Jotform, Survey Monkey, Culture Counts.

  • Previous experience delivering crowdfunding campaigns. 

 

Other Requirements:

  • Current Police Clearance Certificate (or willingness to get one)

  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to get one)

 

Desirable Requirements:

  • C Class Driver’s License
