Have you ever dreamt of a Lonely Planet? Far, far away, past the stars and the dark side of the moon. A place where night and day occurs every half hour, with an orbit that stumbles at each skipped heartbeat.

Still and Yet: Kim Scott and Elfie Shiosaki
Centre for Stories presents Still and Yet, a conversation between two of Western Australia's most notable literary talents – Kim Scott and Elfie Shiosaki.

XENIDES
It’s time to take another spin and revisit Adriana Xenides, the darling of ‘TV Week’ and glossy magazines, who made a visit into almost every lounge room across Australia. This world premiere top dollar musical exposé is both hilarious and tender, a tribute and a protest.

IN THE NEXT ROOM OR THE VIBRATOR PLAY
In the Next Room, or The Vibrator Play is a sassy play about power and passion. Acclaimed American playwright, Sarah Ruhl, re-imagines the curious chapter in the early history of psychotherapy, when women were treated with a certain mechanical device. A hysterical parlour drama bound to create a buzz!

SKYLAB
When the science laboratory, Skylab, finally crash lands near Esperance, no-one in the community could not have prepared themselves for what happened next. Dreamtime meets Monkey Magic in this sci-fi comedy, a world premiere new Western Australian work and inaugural co-production with Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company.

THE EVENTS
The WA premiere of this work, celebrating community and hope, was the sleeper hit of the 2013 Edinburgh Festival and mesmerised audiences in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne. A vicar and leader of a community choir searches for answers after a violent act threatens the ideals that sustain her beloved community.

ASSASSINS
A killer Broadway musical by a ‘titan of musical theatre’. This Tony Award-winning theatrical tour-de-force is full of stunning lyrics and beautiful music. Bold, original and alarmingly funny, Assassins is a timely reminder that those in power ignore the marginalised in society at their peril.

I AM MY OWN WIFE by Doug Wright
Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Tony Award for Best Play, I Am My Own Wife is an examination of the life of German antiquarian Charlotte von Mahlsdorf. Born Lothar Berfelde, she killed her father when she was 12 years old, was sentenced to four years in juvenile prison and survived the Nazi and Communist regimes in plain sight as a transvestite.

The ZONE - CO3
THE ZONE - an explosive dance work, created by CO3's Raewyn Hill, that explores the notion of community forming in extraordinary circumstances. On at the State Theatre Centre of WA Sep 7th - 16th.
