Unwinding The Law: Myths And Realities

  • The Hive: Creative Arts Space 192 William St Northbridge Australia (map)

How well do you know your rights within our legal system? If you’ve learnt all you know about the law through episodes of COPS and Law and Order then we think it’s time you discovered the myths and realities of the law in WA!

We'l be talking about issues surrounding the legal system such as individual rights, discrimination and social justice. Our speakers will also be providing an understanding of the criminal charges young people often face and where they can turn if they do have trouble with the law.

Anna Copeland (Director of Clinical Legal Programs Murdoch University) | Sergeant Graham White (WA Police) | Rachel Herford (Midland PCYC Social Worker) | Shaun Wyn-Jones (Policy and Communications Officer YACWA) | Phillip Kelly (Senior Criminal Lawyer Youth Legal Service)
