Fem-Bots: Robotronics

  • The Hive: Creative Arts Space 192 William Street Northbridge Australia (map)
Robogals

Can you work within a 'budget' to provide a safe container to protect cargo dropped from a plane? Can you design a Lego car that will go faster that your friends? Or build a bridge that is strong enough for one of our robots to cross? Have fun working together and using your problem solving skills to build 'real world' projects on a small scale.

How many female engineers can you name? The chances are you do not know many or even any! Robogals are here to change that. Robogals is a student-run organisation that aims to engage girls in engineering topics from a young age, with the long-term goal of increasing female enrolment in engineering, science and technology courses at universities.

*Please note this workshop has changed from the description in the KickstART program, but is still guaranteed to be heaps of fun!
