The Lion Never Sleeps is a walking performance through the streets of Northbridge. Equipped with a listening device and headphones, three performers and an audience of 20 navigate, meander and move through spaces and places where the queer community gathered, danced, made community and fought during the AIDS crisis in the 1980s.
This project was originally developed by Noemie Huttner-Koros as part of the Still Here LGBTQIA+ Artists Lab, through Propel Youth Arts/Kickstart Festival and Perth Festival.
