This new prize was announced at last Saturday’s (30 November) ADFAS Special General Meeting and Christmas party at the Art Gallery of Western Australia. It is open to Perth metropolitan West Australians aged between 15 and 25. The prestigious award will be judged by a panel of local cross-genre arts community members including; Felicity Johnston, Kevin Jackson, Digby de Bruin and Tristan Parr.
Applications close on 31 March 2020. The winning entry will be notified on 1 May 2020. Application criteria, application form and terms and conditions are available online at adfas.org.au.
“ADFAS Perth recognises that young artists face many challenges during the early stages of their career.” said ADFAS committee member, Dr Mariana Atkins who is managing the process.
“This new award has been established to support talented young artists to follow their passion and gain recognition. It is a great opportunity for emerging artists.”
