HyperVision is a youth art exhibition and competition created and run by the Hyper Team in the City of Swan. Each year we invite artists to submit work across photography, sculpture, traditional media, fashion/jewellery, short film, and experimental categories for a chance to win amazing prizes and be exhibited at Midland Junction Arts Centre.
HyperVision: Sweet will be open for entries until 4pm on Friday, June 14. We would also love to showcase some entries as they are submitted, on social media - you can elect to give us permission to do this (or not) in your submission.
HyperVision: Sweet asks artists to submit works that discuss, display and explore your interpretation of the word ‘Sweet’. Whether you're fascinated by sugary goods, emotive expressions, 00’s slang, we want to see your unique perspective.
All entrants are encouraged to elaborate on their interpretation of the theme within this application. Answers are a crucial part of judging and some answers will be quoted in the opening night address, in the gallery guide and online.
Short films must be under 5 minutes and respond to the ‘Sweet” theme. Please link to your video in your artwork description and provide a thumbnail or title screen as the attachment. You MUST have permission to use all music in your film.
Any WA resident aged between 12 and 25 who would like their artwork exhibited at HyperVision and/or shared on social media is encouraged to apply now.
Finalist artwork will be exhibited at Midland Junction Arts Centre from Saturday 27 July to Sunday 25 August. There will be prizes awarded for each category.
