SAME TIME NEXT WEEK

15 AUGUST - 2 SEPTEMBER

Mark has leukaemia. Between chemo and his Mum moving in, he has only one wish: to play a tabletop roleplaying game. Enter Drew, Digby, and Liz – his loyal friends who have no clue what they’re doing. Together they dive into the world’s most beloved game and are forced to face goblins, necromancers, sexy lizards, and their own mortality – one week at a time. Filled with DIY stage trickery, toe-tapping songs, and an ensemble of Perth’s best puppeteers – Same Time Next Week is a love letter to the friends we lean on and the importance of recapturing the love of play as adults.

Presented by Nick Pages-Oliver & Scott McArdle

ALEX AND EVIE AND THE FOREVER FALLING RAIN

23 - 30 SEPTEMBER

Evie just moved to a place where it’s always raining. It’s rained every minute of every day of every year, forever. But this year, before her 10th birthday, Evie decides she’s going to stop the rain. Evie doesn’t trust him but, as her closest cat confidant points out, the rain isn’t something you can stop alone. And so, the adventure, and the greatest friendship of all time, begins.

Presented by every other theatre company and AWESOME Arts.

SALTED PRETZELS

3 - 21 OCTOBER

You know the rules. Boy meets girl. They go on a date. Fall in love. Hit a slight speed bump. Work it out. And then live happily ever after. Everything moving easily into place. Turns out, real life isn’t a rom-com and love isn’t always enough to keep things on the straight and narrow. In a world where so much depends on who knows who and most importantly, whose heart beats for who, sometimes the most enduring love stories come from the messiest of meetings. Cassius meets Dom (online, that is). They click. They go on a date. Everything shifts into place… Or it would, if there weren’t two extra people at the table. This heart-busting modern celebration of identity, self-discovery and authenticity interrogates the complexities of falling in love at the messiest of times.
