The team of Democracy Repair Services, are holding auditions this July! This is a new play by theatre-maker and climate activist Noemie Huttner-Korros (Mother of Compost, The Lion Never Sleeps), directed by Andrew Sutherland (small & cute oh no, Salome delta) is being presented at The Blue Room Theatre in November 2023.
The play revolves around four teenage climate activists and explores issues of protest, civil disobedience and democracy. They are seeking new and emerging performers to play teenagers, noting that the cast must be above 18 by the commencement of rehearsals.
The team is particularly excited to meet performers of diverse background and experience, inclusive of performers who identify as FNPOC, gender diverse, and/or living with Disability.
Performers will be asked to read from a section of the text which will be provided before the audition. There is no requirement to memorise the text before auditioning.
