Calling all artists 25 or under! Showcase in Pixels is an annual exhibition showcasing artworks from all over WA. We are inviting young local artists to submit their entries to represent the City of Bayswater. The winning artist will receive $500 and have their artwork displayed on the digital tower at Yagan Square in Perth city.
Showcase in Pixels is the WA Local Government Association’s (WALGA) annual exhibition of artwork representing local governments from all over Western Australia. From Monday 4 September to Sunday 24 September, artworks are displayed on the 45-metre-high digital tower at Yagan Square in Perth’s CBD.
Artists aged 25 years or under living in the City of Bayswater are invited to submit their artwork for the opportunity to win $500 and represent the City in WALGA’s 2023 Showcase in Pixels exhibition by having their artwork on display at Yagan Square.
Artwork may take the form of a painting or collage, mosaic art, digital art or mixed media. Artwork must clearly feature the heading ‘Bayswater’.
Artists are encouraged to draw inspiration from the local community and surrounds. You can also explore WALGA’s 2023 theme ‘Local Futures’ in your artwork.
To enter, submit a high-quality photograph, scan or digital file of your artwork along with a completed entry form to the City’s Community Development team by emailing yac@bayswater.wa.gov.au by 5pm, Friday 7 July 2023.
