Emerge Youth Art Awards – City of Nedland

Artists aged 12-25 years are invited to enter the City of Nedlands’ annual Emerge Youth Art Awards with a chance to win one of five prizes from a $2,250 prize pool.  This event includes an opening night and award presentation held in late July. 

Young artists are invited to enter artwork categories including print, photography, painting, drawing and sculpture.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 

  1. Limit of two entries (pieces) per entrant.

  2. The artwork submitted must be original and have been completed after 31 July the previous year.

  3. All entries are eligible for the Open Award, and People’s Choice Award however only City of Nedlands residents are eligible for the Resident’s Award. (Proof of residency will be required from the winner.)

  4. Only entrants under the age of 18 years are eligible for the Under 18 Award.

  5. Proof of age will be required from all winners before collecting prizes.

  6. Entries can be framed or unframed. Unframed artworks will be mounted by a method of the curator’s choice.

  7. Any works submitted after the delivery deadline will not be included in the exhibition.

  8. Work left uncollected after 30 August will be disposed of.

  9. 2D work must not exceed 1m x 1m.

  10. 3D work must not exceed 60cm x 60cm x 60cm.

  11. Please contact the organiser to discuss your display requirements.

  12. All works must be deemed appropriate to be exhibited at a family exhibition. The organiser retains the right to deem any works unsuitable and therefore not eligible to be displayed.

  13. As exhibition space is limited, the organiser reserves the right to not display all entries.

  14. The City of Nedlands reserves the right to use photographs taken of entries, entrants and the opening event, for promotional purposes
