What’s your vision for the future of young people in the arts?
Propel is looking for an emerging WA artist and young leader to provide the creative spark and artistic direction for the Youth Week WA KickstART Festival.
As Creative Coordinator, you will have a platform to introduce challenging ideas and exciting new talent to the rest of our community. Through working directly with young people to create a large-scale arts festival, the Creative Coordinator has the ability to change and shape people’s lives!
Plus, we think we’re nice people to work with too. ;)
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about youth arts, has excellent networks within the WA arts industry and is not afraid to push new boundaries.
Position Description
This Creative Coordinator role has been developed with the intent of engaging an emerging WA artist to assist in the creative programming and help lead the artistic direction for the Youth Week WA KickstART Festival in 2020.
Tapping into their established industry networks and creative experience, the Creative Coordinator will consult with the Youth Week WA Planning Committee and Propel Youth Arts WA, to develop a theme, format and key activities for Youth Week WA in the Perth Metropolitan Area that are inclusive, accessible and serve to engage young people aged 12 - 26.
Throughout their engagement with Propel, the Creative Coordinator will work closely with the Project Manager, who will manage key administration duties and produce KickstART Festival events, and report to the General Manager. The Creative Coordinator will also work closely with the Communications Officer, interns, volunteers, and partner organisations throughout the engagement period.
About the Youth Week WA KickstART Festival

The KickstART Festival offers young people aged 12 - 26 an extensive program of free workshops, talks, performances, mentorships, exhibitions, markets and other special events, across an entire week in April.
