One of the highlights of the Joondalup Festival is the Twilight Lantern Parade, a participative community arts project that showcases the talent, energy and creativity of the local community. With over 1,600 people parading in 2019 to an audience of over 10,000 people, the Twilight Lantern Parade is one of the biggest community arts event in the northern corridor.
Available to schools within the City of Joondalup only, the program offers a professional artist to facilitate school-based workshops to create an illuminated parade entry. Schools will have between two and five workshops with an Artist in: design and puppet making as well as performance and puppetry.
