Elton D’Souza

Visual artist from Perth, Australia.

Creates illustrations, comics, zines and 2D animated short films. Influences include Hayao Miyazaki (Studio Ghibli), Kim Jung Gi, James Cameron, Marvel, fantasy, adventure, dragons. I often collaborate with my wife Marielle Palcon, and love collaborating in general.

As a market stall, I trade prints of my art that I also gold leaf by hand to make them extra special and unique. It is mostly original illustrations, comics & zines, inspired by fantasy, dragons, adventure and japan, and I also create fan art of Marvel and Anime. I also display the originals and do quick drawing commissions, quick portraits, and can take larger commission requests. I teach drawing lessons too.

I always drew starting from when I could remember. I started taking it seriously in 2013 which was when I started my degree in Engineering (mechatronics) of which I finished, and since then have been getting more and more gigs over the years (due to the lack of engineering work!)

I love drawing a lot; I even recommend it to everyone to do for fun. I love letting the mind wonder through viewing a single image and more so telling a story. Sequential art such as comics and animation allow for longer stories to be told, and as an activist for the environment and animal rights I can use my drawings to make a difference in this world we live in.
