The perils of growing up and growing old are being explored in a frank and funny family drama at Melville Theatre this November and December. Written by April de Angelis and directed by Miles Openshaw, Jumpy focuses on 50-year-old Hilary who is in an unexciting marriage, faces redundancy at work and has a volatile relationship with her rebellious teenage daughter.

Love, Loss and What I Wore is written by Nora and Delia Ephron – together they wrote the screenplay for You’ve Got Mail while Nora has received original screenplay Academy Award nominations for When Harry Met Sally, Silkwood and Sleepless in Seattle.

A secret life will soon be exposed at a funeral and the bombshell will cause tempers – and ashes – to fly.
