Disposable culture, guilt, confession and the cyclic nature of the world is at the heart of Tura’s latest project The Milk Carton Confessions being presented at Ellenbrook Arts HQ this November.
Presented by percussionist Thea Rossen and composer Michael Sollis with Ellenbrook youth community performers, The Milk Carton Confessions is a free live performance featuring music, movement and film including interviews from residents of the City of Swan, archival footage and the operations of recycling plants including the Bullsbrook Recycling Centre.
This presentation follows a series of workshops facilitated by celebrated percussionist and musician, Thea Rossen, whose work Music for our Changing Climate received international recognition. Together with the community of Ellenbrook, Thea and the performers will transform a variety of recycled material into sound making devices, exploring the sounds of the natural environment, how we tackle our own consumer guilt and the natural and unnatural cycles that surround us.
Please bring a rug or chair to sit on and feel free to bring a picnic.
Please note this is a smoke and alcohol free event.
