Family: can’t live with them, can’t live without them – the old adage accurately sums up the main themes of Melville Theatre’s latest play.

Written by Andrew Bovell and directed by Vanessa Jensen, the play is set in suburban Adelaide and follows the Price family over the course of a year. During that time, the four adult children move on with their own lives, often making decisions their parents may not have foreseen or even approve.

Imagining the Future through Theatre is designed to bring together like-minded young people and help develop their skills in collaboration and performance. The workshop is being run in partnership with the Foundation for Young Australians, as part of their 'Collective Imagining' initiative. Young people are running workshops across Australia, to engage with young people and to hear what their dream for the future of our nation are. This particular workshop will enable participants’ to express their dreams for the future through the original theatre performances they will be writing and performing during the workshop.
