The final program of Audible Edge 2022, Boorloo’s own festival of experimental, DIY and exploratory music, takes place throughout the wildflower season of Kambarang.
Running through October and November, the program is full of stacked line-ups and regional programming, prominently featuring members of the acclaimed exploratory music ensemble The Australian Art Orchestra. Join Tone List in celebrating a year full of acclaimed concerts by leading sound artists.
The program begins on October 7 with the third concert in the Kinds of Light concert series at PS Art Space. The concert will feature two kinds of immersive music: gentle washes of surround sound, and full-bore virtuosic musicianship. A performance of a work by Berlin-based composer Catherine Lamb involving synthesizer performers spread throughout the space, sounding rich harmonies in unusual, microtonal tunings. Local duo Dez Cartez play shreddy, noise-based improvisation influenced by the heavier edge of avant-garde rock and free jazz. PS will run a bar from 7:00, with music kicking off at 7:30.
