Ned always found the line between fantasy and reality a little blurry. The way he remembers it, the summer of 1972 included arson, talking dogs and a gigantic hole that swallowed an entire suburb.

As a grim domestic power struggle unfolds at home, Ned pursues a scavenger hunt given to him by the mysterious Magician. In return for finishing the scavenger hunt, The Magician promises Ned he can fix everything…

Framed through the lens of Ned’s unreliable memories, The Magician is by turns bizarre, tragic, and silly.
